GENERAL

Q: When is the next game?

Q: Where is the game located?

In Lawrence, Kansas at Chihowa Retreat Center. The address is:

Q: Is there a cost to play?

There is a fee of $65 for entry, food, & lodging. Act now for our special Early Bird discounted price ($60) available until March 31st, 2020.

Q: I may know someone who would like to sponsor, should I have them contact
     you?

Absolutely! We are more than happy to take sponsors and promote their info! Contact us and send us a message with the potential sponsor info.

 

Q: Where do I sign up?

Go to our registration tab, fill out the form/buy ticket 

 

Q: Can I bring a friend/sibling/parent/kid?

Yes! Bring your friends and family! We do caution you that this will be an intense game so use discretion. Anyone who wishes to play that is below the age of 16 may ask to play and will be determined by the admin team on a case by case basis.

 

Q: Is this a 24 hour game?

Yes, the game play is all day and all night for 3 days

 

Q: Can I show up late?

Yes, If you are knowingly showing up late please buy your ticket BEFORE the game
starts. Additionally please notify admins if you are arriving late.

Q: Is there more than One game a year?

Unfortunately No, this game takes a lot of planning and coordination. As much as the Admins would like to make this their sole job, they have "real world"  jobs they have to do so they can continue living and  using their spare time creating/designing this game.

GAMEPLAY

​

Q: Is this game played indoors or outdoors?

This game will be played both indoor and outdoor!

​

Q: How do I know who is a Survivor or Infected?

A Lime Green bandanna on the arm is a Survivor. And a Lime Green bandana on the head is an Infected, around their neck is a stunned Infected.

​

​Q: What kind of bandanna do I need?

A LIME GREEN bandana or piece of fabric. However the bandanna/fabric MUST be clearly visible and must be AT LEAST 3 fingers wide.

​

Q: Are other people (non-players) going to be there?

This location is exclusive only to those playing WSC. No other people will be on premise (excluding campground staff and maintenance). So there will be no “non-player” interference.

​

Q: Can we hide in trees?

Yes, we are allowing people to use trees. However we are asking you to BE SAFE! Please act accordingly and all will be fine! If we find people being too reckless we will ban tree climbing.

LOADOUTS & WEAPONRY

​

Q: Can I bring a modified blaster?

Yes, Bring your Infected slaying gear! However we will have to check the blaster before to make sure it is not causing too much harm. We are not allowing “hand cannons” due to our close quarters and building play. Please see our rules for Approved/Banned weaponry. 

​

Q: Can I bring a painted blaster?

Yes, Show yo bling off! All that is required is that there is an orange tip (Or brightly colored tip; red, yellow) on the blaster.

Q: How much ammo should I bring?

None. WSC provides all ammo for the game. If you would like to donate ammo, we would greatly appreciate it! We will not accept FVJ’s or any hard tipped nerf darts. Please check your ammo for any cuts, breaks, or tears before donating.

Q: Can I use FVJ’s or Hard tipped darts?

No, please do not bring any ammo to use in game, as we are supplying your ammo. If you would like to donate ammo, please do not give FVJ’s or Hard tipped darts, as we will not accept them.

LODGING & SLEEPING

​

Q: What about sleeping?

We do have plenty of dorms with bunkbeds/mattresses. You will have to be able to protect yourself. However you may also setup camp in the woods/outdoors (no tents are allowed - be sure to check the rules). You are not safe while sleeping so find a buddy and take shifts.

​

Q: What about bedding?

Bring bedding, however there will not be a designated sleeping quarters, so you most likely won’t be sleeping in the same spot as you were before. We would recommend bringing portable bedding. (i.e. a pillow, sleeping bag, and/or a blanket or two)

​

Q: Can I bring a tent?

We ask that you do NOT bring tents. They become a safety hazard for people, and we don’t want your stuff damaged in a rush. However if you want to sleep outside be our guest!

 

Q: Can I use a hammock?

Yes, please read our rules for the guidelines for hammocks.

​

Q: Will there be places to shower and use the bathroom?

There are many shower/bathroom facilities. We will have one set of bathrooms designated as a no play zone. So you may do your “business” free from infected. However showering will be up to you to keep safe. We have rules to allow gameplay while ensuring privacy.

FOOD

​

Q: Will food be provided?

Yes, we will provide you with Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner on Saturday, as well as
Breakfast and Lunch on Sunday. You are responsible to eat (or supply your own food) before check-in on Friday. We will also supply you with water and Gatorade. However we do suggest you bring your own snacks and drinks as well since we can’t accommodate everyone’s preferences.

Q: I have a food allergy /medical concern; will you be able to accommodate me?

Absolutely, we ask that you please tell us in advance of any special accommodations that you may need and we will do our best to help. We also have a very strong medical staff on hand that are certified EMT’s and Registered Nurses.

PACKING

 

Q: What are some items do you recommend I should bring?

• Running shoes - Extra set of shoes

• Extra clothes (it will be warm)

• Sunscreen

• Aloe Vera

• Ibuprofen/Tylenol

• Any personal medication

• Plastic bags for clothing/shoes/or for waterproofing items

 

Q: What items am I absolutely not allowed to bring?
